Having a self care routine is important. You have to advocate for your needs, establish and set boundaries that are important to you.
Kick start to a healthy life!
Living a healthy life is vitally important. Holistic wellness focuses on your mental, spiritual, social, and emotional wellness as well. Taking time for daily self-care and incorporating meditation helps to reduce stress levels. If you tend to put yourself at the very end of your priority list, that means you are neglecting yourself. YOU should be a priority and have established boundaries that bring peace and balance to your life. You must stand in your value, and believe that YOU ARE ENOUGH, right here, right now .... right where you are.
Take time to fill your own cup. If you don't take time to fill your own cup, you won't be able to pour in to anything or anyone else. It's similar to an airplane flight. When you are flying they tell you to put on your own mask before assisting others.
You might ask, "Well, how can I practice self-care more consistently?" I'm glad you asked! For me, I make it a priority on a daily basis. I focus on one self-care focus a week and carry that mantra throughout. For instance, this week, I focused on JOY. You have to make self-care a part of your daily "to do list". Make a task list, and then right next to things like, "make a doctor's appointment," I add an entry for a self-care boost (Camille's word). Add a slot for a self-care boost, and make it a non-negotiable additive to your daily life.
